It has been amazing watching CatManDo come in with their big excavating equipment and seeing what can be done in a short amount of time. Mark Williams, our contractor, kept telling Rip to stop killing himself taking one tree down at a time and to let Dwayne do it with his big Caterpillar tractors. Rip is down in Hersey at the antique auto show and then he’s off to Philly for the Rittenhouse Square show so maybe it’s better he’s not here seeing all these trees come down. It has to be done in order to get the house built but it is kind of bitter sweet. It would be nice if there was a way to just clear exactly where the house is but that’s not how it works. There will still be tons of trees around and we have dozens planted in large containers ready to re-plant after the house is built. I’m happy that Cat Man Do is doing such a great job! They come when they say they’ll come and really work hard. Dwayne also respects that Rip is trying to save as many trees as he can and be as “Green” as possible. So cool seeing this big long driveway go in too
